Olivia Johnson
Olivia Johnson is a Climate Change Research Fellow at IMAS who manages the Redmap sightings and communications. She is also a PhD candidate investigating how we can safeguard threatened reef species around Australia through long-term monitoring programs comprised of underwater visual census biodiversity data. Olivia has worked across multiple projects such as The Handfish Conservation Project; urchin fishing, populations and kelp recovery; MPA monitoring; broadscale environmental monitoring programs around Tasmania; and at sea as a krill biologist. Her interests lie within diving research, ecology and conservation management.
