About this species

Grey to light brown in colour. The distinguishing features are the scutes (small bony plates found at the rear of the body near the tail). Faded black spots surround the scutes. The mouth is relatively small. In adults the fins are silvery grey that may have a slight blue tinge. Juveniles have a yellow and translucent tail fin. Length: Up to 70 cm Read more…
