About this species

The body is generally brown on the upper surfaces and yellow on the lower areas and towards the head. Anal and pelvic fins are yellow. Tail fin is forked with rounded ends and yellowish brown in colour. The dorsal fin is brown with a vertical yellow band at the rear that fades into a translucent section. Scale edges have a brown mark on the trailing edge. These markings intersect to give the fish a thin diagonally banded look. Read more…
