About this species

The Western hollow-spined urchin is found concealed in open reefs. The urchin is slate grey in colour with thinner spines relative to their length than the closely related black urchin. Distribution from Shark Bay, WA to Spencer Gulf, SA. Log this species if you see it south of Spencer Gulf. Read more…
