About this species
Razorfish are the largest bivalve found in South Australia. They are fan shaped with its tip embedded in sand or mud, and are generally dark in color or encrusted with other marine species like sponges and ascidians. Mostly silver, darker grey above, fins are grey except for whitish anal fin. Juveniles are slightly mottled or streaked on sides with dark spot high on operculum. Read more…
