Saw this very large, beautiful and battle-scarred Smooth Stingray, Dasyatis brevicaudata under the Dromana Pier about 10am on 9 December 2014. The largest stingray I have ever seen. It was between 2.5 and 3 metres across. Size can be judged by the spacing of the piles of the pier.
