About this species
Bright red all over with whitish 'zebra' stripes and long, broad filamentous pectoral and dorsal fin rays. Spotted tail fin. The lionfish is a very hardy species currently invading the Caribbean and the Eastern Coast of the United States of America. When approached by divers the fish seems undeterred and usually remains in place. Read more…
