The Highfin Moray (Gymnothorax pseudothyrsoideus) has been commonly recorded in northern Australia southwards to the Houtman Abrolhos, WA ( 28 29 S), and southwards to the Hawkesbury R region of NSW (c. 33 28 S). This is the second Redmap sighting of the species in the Perth - Rottnest region (the other in Feb 2015).
