This sighting has been reviewed and verfied by Marton Gomon (Museum Vic) and Mark McGrouther (Australian Museum - Australasian Fishes). More taxonomic work needs to be done on this group, and it is also listed elsewhere as Trachipterus jacksonensis (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/9943873).
