About this species
These relatives of seahorses have distinctive leaf-like appendages protruding from a few parts of the brown-red body. The body has longitudinal blue bars on parts of the body, small yellow spots on the body and head, and white spots on the snout. Males brood red eggs on the underside of the tail.
