Body colour is dark black, blue on the upper surface becoming silvery white on the lower surface of the body. Distinguished by a series of narrow bars on the sides of the body and non rigid pectoral fin. Other names used in Australia: Makaira mazara
Length: Up to 5 m
Habitat
Pelagic offshore ocean waters; 10-200 m depth
