Rectangular body that tapers towards the rear. Orange to red in colour with small white spots on the carapace. The claws face in towards the front of the body. Rear legs are armoured and have numerous joints. Spikes are found along the edge of the front of the body and claws.

Length: Carapace up to 14 cm

Habitat

On sandy substrates; 10-100 m depth
